Some resources to follow up on:

  • Find out if your Franchise or Management Company can get you a copy of a  "Travel Spending Report" that calculates how much money was  spent in your market through a credit card such as American Express.
  • I have had access through Marriott to this type of information and resource. Sometimes noting spending at other properties in the market.
  • Another resource would be to consider a membership with the Hotelligence Report.
  • This report will also share competitive information about spending, room nights, and travel agencies and is a super report to review and see what the client is actually producing.
  • It's worth checking out not only for RFP's, but for other segments as well.
  • Check with your Franchise Service Manager about any account reports that can assist you that they may offer even at no cost.
